I have noticed that people who tell you up front...
and continually what and who they are... are usually not what they tell you. Or they are so insecure that they are trying to convince both you and themselves who and what they are...And those that tell you continually what they are 'trained' to do usually aren't that good at what they do...
As in... Obama continually telling us that he is the President. Like we don't know that he is...
I tried a hair stylist once that told me repeatedly that she was a 'stylist' ... she was the worst that I have ever been to...
A doctor that tells you repeatedly that they are the 'doctor' ... watch out! (concerning medical issues, be your own advocate)
A person that constantly tells you that they always tell the truth ... watch out! If this is true, why do they need to tell you that they do?
People who repeatedly tell you that they are spiritual or religious... watch out? Perhaps, they are telling you this, in order, that you 'think' them 'good', so that you will then trust them and they can come in for the kill.
Men who inform you that they are good in bed... watch out!
A woman that tells you that she is sexy... watch out!
In college, I dated a guy that on the first several dates talked about sex alot and told me repeatedly how sexy he was... I, of course, ignored what he was saying... then he kissed me... AND it was like kissing a wall... not sexy or sensual at all!
Sensual, sexy people usually don't say a word about it... it is emitted through their very being and essence...
I have found that people who are good at what they do, don't need to continually tell you who they are, or what they do ... they just do it! They just are, and they know who they are, and it translates into their life in every way and all its forms...
It's how a person behaves and their actions that tells you, who, and what they are, and what they can, or can't do...
Those trying so hard to tell you who they are, what they can do for you, or about their character are usually all talk and no go...
As in Obama... sorry, had to say it!
As in talk is cheap and actions speak louder than words...
both true adages... I am seeing this more today than ever before.

OMG you are right on the money. My Mother always told me, ever so long ago, that if you are someone, people will know it without you telling them. I guy that talks about sex all the time is not a good lover, and I was just saying the other day about Obama, how he constantly referes to himself..."I'm the preident" Also, "I'm the Commander and Chief. Needs to be read by everyone including those it speaks about. I had a run in with a surgical resident at the VA Hospital who told me my gall bladder needed to come out I asked her to show me proof she refused . AA month later I found out the problem was not my gall bladder but the stupid CRESTOR for cholesterol. Be careful out there .

The problem with lying is you can only expect positive results up to the point that your target finds out you lied. If you tell a woman you are a Docter just to get sex you can never go back for a longer relatiuonship without having to confess you are a lier. A politician that wins an election based on the fact that he is a genius with devine power and extraordinary leadership ability is only good for one term once his constituets hear him stutter, see him fail to act, watch him avoid issues he isn't confortable with, and demonstrate human frailties such as stupidity and high temper.

I have noticed this to be true also...I have found that those who claim to be open minded will be the first to delete you when you opinion differs from theirs. Those who always have to claim to others how much they love their husbands and c...hlidren will be the first to walk away from them all when it gets down to te nitty gritty. I could give example after example. Also usually what a person says about others is closer to who they are then who they claim to be.

So true. I was listening to a guy on conservative talk radio about a year ago who was some sort of an expert on these matters (a psychologist, I believe) & one thing he mentioned that has stuck with me ever since is that when people start off with "To tell the truth" or "To be honest", chances are they are not normally truthful or honest. Wish I could remember his name. He had written a book.
