Yes, I would gladly trade America for the Independent Republic of Texas. Democracy has proven that politicians seek to exploit Government for their own agenda. Somewhere along the long history of Democracy, ideals of the Republic were lost and complacency overtook personal responsibility for patriotism. My personal belief is that very intelligent men (Our Founding Fathers) saw the need for communal government in addition to a coalition of states dedicated to preserving freedom from outside larger threats. Eventually, this ideal again became corrupted and started a little battle over State Rights vs. Federal Rights we now pigeonhole into "The Civil War." The South lost and the North won, fine. But you only need look at our decline of the old ideas and see them traded for the "relatively" newly implemented policies of "Federal Law." Consequently, we have the most Unconstitutional Federal Government imaginable bent on keeping us uneducated as a people and under the thumb of the ruling class. Thomas Jefferson, in his amazing Promethean foresight, hit the nail on the head when he said "The central bank is an institution of the most deadly hostility existing against the Principles and form of our Constitution. I am an Enemy to all banks discounting bills or notes for anything but Coin. If the American People allow private banks to control the issuance of their currency, first by inflation and then by deflation, the banks and corporations that will grow up around them will deprive the People of all their Property until their Children will wake up homeless on the continent their Fathers conquered." I think we can all agree that since the implementation of the Federal Reserve in 1913 the American people have had a series of roller coasters revolving around "Great Depressions" and other recessions. These rises/falls are only bent on bankrupting legitimate American commercial/residential enterprises of the working man so that the big banking cartels can move in and buy up the property/equity for pennies on the dollar, which they print anyhow at alarming rates to cover the "Obamanation" of America. Thanks for asking my opinion Anne and I hope it was helpful. Reply to this

I wouldn't trade for any other but I would like to get OUR once great nation back the way it was.

Obama's father was a straight radical, listen to obamas audio tapes of his book and if after that you voted for him you deserve what you get. People are so stupid...he told you he was going to change this country and did that not scare you?

Hopefully, people are paying more attention now rather than just believe whatever is pumped out. This President has: Clearly spoken out against our national symbol (the American Flag) he has spoken out about changing the National Anthem, had one of his go-fers state the administration doesn't believe the 2nd amendment allows gun ownership - THIS PRESIDENT IS CURRENTLY IGNORING A FEDERAL COURT RULING in Florida that the current healthcare bill is UNCONSITUTIONAL - Obama's view, "that judge is speaking in haste)

I would exchange Obama He is busy golfing and putting in his 2 cents about march madness... now you cant be crazy enough to expect him to actually act PRESIDENTIAL, can you? After all, he and Queen LaBeefa have to stick their noses in YOUR business telling you what to eat, admonishing Cambridge police for 'acting stupidly' , but they have no opinion on Libya and the unrest in the middle east, nor do they really give a shit about the beleagured Japanese (who, I might add, he should take a cue from when it comes to dignity and grace) What clowns!

What were the voters thinking when they voted him in,, Shows how stupid the people are. What change, where are the jobs, Obama is truthfully turning this country and presidency into a weak mockery.

As far as I know this is still the greatest and freest nation on Earth. There is still nowhere better. We have to put it back on the right track by voting. I have to admit that at times I have begun considering options, should Obama be re-e...lected and somehow regain the House, causing further and possibly irreversible deterioration of our basic freedoms and economic condition. Where could we go to escape oppression that would be any better? Where could I find employment in a foreign land at my age? I haven't a clue where it would be, but things would have to become drastically worse here. Sadly, that seems conceivable at times.

That's why we must take America back so that we can once again live in the home of the free and the brave.. instead of the Gov controlled and ruled by some evil dictator..

"LAND OF THE FREE AND HOME OF THE BRAVE...hmmmmm free not like it use to be....brave?? we are getting braver and standing up for what we believe and enforcing our constitutional rights...but will we ever have a real say so in who gets elected...the only way that is gonna happen is we need to get rid of the electora college...what a joke...let the people say who runs this country...not some made up college....and as far as going some where else...nahhh no place id rather be than in the grand ole us of a...i will die here and will die protecting whats mine no matter who is trying to run this country...

If you get rid of the electoral college, Gore would have won, and obeyme had pop vote anyway, so no, leave it alone at least there's half a chance; state's like CA/NY etc. can sway an election if electoral votes discounted. The founders had it right let's don't screw with it.

That electoral college is the only thing protecting the red states from the blue states in some elections. It was designed that way so that the balance of power is not always in favor of the large metropolitan centers. If not for the electoral college, NYC, LA, Chicago, etc would decide our elections at the expense of the rest of us. A lot of us here in "flyover country" would be disenfranchised, to turn a favorite liberal expression around on them.

ok thanks for explaining that to me...always thought no matter who we voted for was really just left up to the electoral college and our votes really never mattered...thanks guys for clearing that up for me. i recant my statement

I always looked at the Electorial College like baseball....if you want to toss the Electorial College that is saying that the best team is the one that scores the most runs in a season....If you want to keep the Electorial College, that is saying that the best team is the team that wins the most games during the season....if that makes sense.

Our founding fathers knew exactly what they were doing.. as God was with them and we need to get back to the founding principles and the Constitution... there is a reason for what they did.. and Obama is overstepping it...

There are any number of reasons to impeach Obama. As for Biden, his intelligence quotient probably doesn't exceed 85. It truly is painful sometimes to watch him speak.

As an addendum, President of the New Independent Republic of Texas is Dr. Ron Paul with a cabinet of other Constitutionalists.

I just won't stand for any more Christian-bashing, gay/atheist activism, or unpunished criminal behaviors at the hands of terrorists! Baja works harder at catching and prosecuting, terrorists and criminals, than I've ever seen the U.S. do. And CA is a lost cause (due to massive "overlooked" voter fraud) unless So.CA breaks away from the rest of the state, as they are threatening to do! I have a young son to keep safe, and America is NOT safe anymore!
