Women Explode Board Meeting or Eat, Pray, Love, or is it...

Eat, Talk, Collapse On The Table...???

August 4th, 6 o'clock, a thousand degrees in Texas, Amy and I, in different cars, coming from similar directions, head towards a fav neighborhood restaurant, Jaspers, located on Bishop's Rd. in Legacy Towncenter.

We slide into the booth.
Amy: I've been registering kids for school, buying books, chauffering here, there, everywhere. Madelyn is going to Hawaiian Falls water park tonight with some friends.

Ann: Sounds refreshing.

Amy: Refreshing is...let's order some wine?

Ann:  How about Sauvignon Blanc in a chilled glass? I like a Sauvignon Blanc with a grapefruit under taste... crisp, tarte, summer refreshing. What do you think?

Amy: (reads wine list) Kim Crawford?

Ann: New Zealand?

Amy:  Yes.

Ann: It will complement the shrimp wrapped in prosicutto ham and grits perfectly.

Amy: I'm ready.

Ann: It's so hot and I feel fat today, but  how about the baby back ribs and blue cheese potato chips and... (rated in  Bon Appetite magazine as  #3 ribs  in the US)?

Amy: I don't like food that you eat with your hands.

Ann: Really? Why?

Amy: I don't really know? I've always been that way.

Ann: Well, you can eat the ribs with a fork and knife. Actually, they are so tender, they'll fall off the bone.

Amy: Well...um, okay then.

For dessert, 'Triple Threat' -  dessert waffles with vanilla ice cream and maple syrup, ice cream sandwich, and cherry limeade pie.

Ann: I love the ice cream sandwich, my favorite.

Amy: Me, too! The dessert waffles, ummmm, not ... well, maybe, better for breakfast.

Ann: Cherry limeade pie... yum, refreshingly tarte and  cleanses the palate.

Amy: Yes. I agree..

We talked about a whole lot of things... but can't really tell ya now. Check back because they might be revealed in the future!
